Avocado?

Long, long ago, I was excited to learn that you can grow an avocado plant by using the seed from an avocado. I had forgotten about this, and then my idol Alton Brown demonstrated it on Good Eats. Wonderful! Time to get my avocado on!

So, I bought an avocado (or 3) and ate them. I submerged a seed in water as was instructed, and.....

Nothing!

Even Bruce Willis in RED got more growth out of his avocado.

Absolutely nothing!

No life emerged from this seed!

Boo!

It's been almost 2 months now & I think it's time to call it quits.

On the bright side I now feel justified in purchasing lots of avocados & putting them all into water. I'm sure 1 out of 10 would HAVE to grow!
